MingList is a local classifieds site where you can post and reply to ads without putting your email address in the ad. Ads are public; your inbox is not. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we never do, and the rights you have. The short version: we don't run ads, we don't track you around the web, and we don't sell your data — because our product works by protecting it.
1. Who we are
MingList is an independent classifieds service operated by the MingList team. You can reach us through the contact form or by email at yuenvjian@foxmail.com.
2. What we collect
We collect as little as the product allows. Here is the complete list:

We do not collect payment information (posting is free), precise geolocation, contacts, or any browsing history from other sites.
3. What we never do
- ✕ We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- ✕ We do not run advertising or affiliate links.
- ✕ We do not use third-party marketing trackers or analytics that profile you.
- ✕ We do not send marketing emails. We only send transactional notifications about your account and your ads.
- ✕ We do not display your email address on your ads — that is the whole point of MingList.
4. The anonymous email relay
When someone replies to your ad, their message goes to a private relay address (reply-xxxx@minglist.top) and is forwarded to your real inbox. Your actual email address is never shown to the other party, and theirs is not shown to you. Relay emails are forwarded and not stored long-term on our servers — we keep just enough metadata (timestamps, delivery status) to operate and troubleshoot the service and to fight spam.
Because relays are disposable, you can also reply safely: the other side never learns your real address either.
5. Google sign-in
Posting requires signing in with Google. We receive only your name and email address from your Google profile — nothing else. We never post to your Google account, never read your Gmail, and never share your details with third parties.
6. How long we keep things
- Ads: until you delete them (or ask us to).
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Relay emails: forwarded and not stored long-term; minimal metadata is kept to run the service.
- Technical/abuse logs: kept only for a limited period necessary for security and abuse prevention.
7. Your rights & choices
Wherever you live — including under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), Canada's PIPEDA, and other applicable laws — you have the right to:
- Know & access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct anything inaccurate;
- Delete your account, ads and related data;
- Take your data with you (a portable copy, where required by law);
- Object or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but if you are a California resident, you may still submit a "request to know" or "request to delete" and we will honor it. To exercise any right, use the contact form or email yuenvjian@foxmail.com from the address on your account. We may verify your identity by confirming control of your account email before acting on a request. We respond within the timeframes required by law.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the EU/EEA or UK) if you are not satisfied with our response.
8. International visitors
MingList is operated globally and hosted on Cloudflare's international network, with infrastructure in the United States and other regions. If you access MingList from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the service you acknowledge this transfer; if you have questions, contact us (section 11).
9. Children
MingList is not directed to children under 13 (or under the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is material, we will also add a notice on the site. Continued use of MingList after a change means you accept the updated policy.
